Most sites will have a comms cab or rack which is where the data cabling runs from. Inside you will find routers, switches and patch panels and on the rear of these panels is where the cable will be terminated. From the patch panels the cabling will then run into containment or above ceilings etc to it’s final RJ45 socket location typically next to your computer giving you access to the internet, drives on a server and email etc.
